Dan Deacon vs. GS Boyz mashed by ABX

Not that the internet has even been known as a beacon of positive reinforcement, but the last Hood Internet track combining Dan Deacon’s “Paddling Ghost” with the GS Boyz’s “Stanky Leg” has received nothing but hate on the duo’s website. In this situation I think that the final product has a lot to do with the source material, because “Stanky Leg” has got to be one of the worst songs I’ve heard (we’re talking Soulja Boy-bad) and unfortunately the Hood’s “Stanky Ghost” doesn’t fare much better. Fortunately there’s a silver lining to the song: that being that it gives me reason to suggest checking out Dan Deacon’s Bromst. It’s one of the best straight-electronic albums I’ve heard this year and comes as a nice progression from 2007’s Spiderman of the Rings.
